Meso-scale structure is of great importance to circulating fluidized bed (CFB) applications.Multi-scale computational fluid dynamics (MSCFD) with consideration of meso-scale structures can help understand the structure-oriented coupling between flow, transfers and reactions in CFB.This review is about our recent progress on MSCFD, which characterizes the sub-grid meso-scale structure with stability criteria in addition to conservation equations.
