Turnip mosaic virus (TuMV) is a species of the genus Potyvirus and has an exceptionally broad host range in terms of plant genera and families of any potyvirus. It occurs worldwide and causes great losses to agricultural production. The symptom formationof a plant viral disease results from molecular interactions between the virus and its host plant.P3 protein is the mostvariable protein in potyviruses, and the information of its function is limited. So far it is known that, P3 potentially playsan important role in the pathogenicity, virus replication, symptom formation, overcoming resistance, and cell-to-cell movement of potyviruses[13].
