Structure and hardness of 2024 type aluminum alloy were analyzed in order to find out the effects of volume fraction, size and distribution of dispersoids (aluminides of transition metals) and main strengthening phases under processing, involving isothermal rolling at a temperature of liquid nitrogen up to a total effective strain of ~ 2, prior and final heat treatment.
