The effect of glycoside clathration ofpharmacons,which manifests itself in a considerable reduction in the dose of a drug bound in a clathrate,with retaining the baseline level of its specific activity,is regarded as a basis of an efficient approach to designing low-dose drugs.This effect is exhibited by clathrates of various pharmacons with terpenoids glycosides-glycyrrhizic acid.Regarding the nature of this effect,it was assumed that administration of drugs in the form of clathrates with glycosides ensures protection of pharmacon from untimely metabolism,increases its solubility,improves its transport through biological membranes,and enables its concentrating in target.
