Diamide insecticides were recently introduced to the market, and are represented by three commercial compounds: the phthalic diamide or benzenedicarboxamide derivative, flubendiamide and the anthranilic diamides, chlorantraniliprole and cyantraniliprole.Diamide insecticides are especially active against lepidopteran pests and are particularly useful against those lepidoptera species which have developed resistance to other chemical classes of insecticides.
