Positional proteomics aims at to reduce the complexity at the peptide level in proteome analysis through reduction of the proteolytic peptides which constitute the analyte for mass spectrometric analysis.It attempts the rational reduction by targeting the special N-terminus or C-terminus peptides which can be used to represent each parent protein in the cell.
