Data-dependent acquisition (DDA) precursor ion selection,the most common used method in LC-MS/MS for complex samples such as complete proteomes,is dependent on the signal intensity of precursor ions detected in a survey scan.Limited sequencing speed of current MS instruments is incapable of analyzing all precursor ions in every survey scan.
