Osteoarthritis(OA)and rheumatoid arthritis(RA)are the most common forms of arthritis.They lead to inflammation and destruction of articular cartilage,often compromising the quality and duration of life.Advances in our knowledge of arthritis pathogenesis have translated in the identification of biochemical pathways that might be ideal targets for anti-arthritis drugs to block cartilage degradation.
