The aspect ratio is one of the most intriguing parameters of gold nanorods (GNR), which plays an important role in determining localized surface plasmon (LSPR) properties.The average aspect ratio of the GNRs is mainly obtained from conventional imaging techniques, such as TEM, SEM, and AFM.Although those techniques are accurate enough, they do not allow fast and real-time monitoring of nanoparticle size, and it does not provide information about nanoparticles aggregation and concentration.
