Background: Pigs have processed a dramatic artificial selection leading to a different phenotype of domestic pigs compared to wild counterpart, especially in last several decades.Currently, a genome-wide scanning the footprints of recent positive selection have been well studied in cattle and human. However, few studies focused on porcine selecting footprints, particularly in genome-wide.The identification of selection footprints across porcine genomes is quite valuable to reveal the genetic mechanisms of phenotypic diversity.
