Dealloying is a novel approach to producing micro/nanoporous metal-based materials.Most dealloying studies have focused on the synthesis of porous noble metals such as Au, Ag, Pt and Pd through dealloying of various types of materials (i.e.amorphous, solid solution,or intermetallic compound).Here we show that the dealloying approach can also be used to fabricate porous non-noble metals like tin (Sn).
