Objective:Inflammation has been proposed to influence multiple aspects of cholesterol metabolism.Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is an important lipid mediator in inflammation.However, whether or how PGE2 regulates hepatic cholesterol metabolism remains unknown.Methods:Plasma, hepatic cholesterol and bile acid levels were assayed in western diet-fed mice.Bile acid composition in serum and liver were analyzed by LC-MS.Bile acid related genes were determined by RT-PCR and western blot.
