Introduction : Coronary revascularization induces dramatic left ventricular (LV) volume reduction, referred to as "reverse remodeling (RR)" in patients with viable myocardium. However, serial morphological changes to myocardial tissue have yet to be performed. This study was undertaken to evaluate the serial changes of enhanced necrotic tissue and nonenhanced noninfarct tissue during RR using cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging as a quantification tool.
