Objectives:To observe the outcome of applying Heparin Protamine Titration System (Hepcon) for measurement of heparin level and protamine dose during cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).Methods:Forty patients subject to CPB were divided imo two groups,Control (n =20) and Hepcon (n =20) groups.For the Hepcon group,Heparin Dose Response (HDR) of Hepcon directed the initial dose of heparin.It also determined the dose of protamine by the titration.For the Control group,conventional administration of an anticoagulant (300IU/kg of heparin) and reversal protocol (heparin 1:protamine 1) was performed.The data generated is then processed and analyzed with SPSS statistics software.
