The twig blight disease is the major threat in bayberry industry in recent years.In order to effectively control the disease, the wound smear agents, ferrous sulfate, biologics, plant oil additives and integrated protection management (IPM) were researched in this paper.The results meaned that three wound smear agents could effectively prevent the disease.One to four in a thousand of ferrous sulfate solution could prevent the disease with 45% ~ 88% , and the 0.4% ferrous sulfate solution was the best one.Haokuai, doxorubicin hydrochloride and D-chiro-Inositol · Bacillus cereus had some preventive effect on the disease with 48% ~55%, and the best one is HAOKUAI.Plant oil additives Huainongte could enhance the controlling effect of prochloraz and difenoconazole azole.After three years application of targeted pesticides and two years of integreted management, the twig blight disease were effectively controlled in three bayberry orchards in Ruian, Tiantai and Xianju with 89.9% ~ 96.1%.This suggests that the integrated protection management in this research could effectively prevent the twig blight disease of bayberry.
