Organic semiconductors have become promising candidates for gas sensors,spin valves etc.Nanostructured organic films with intact surfaces and less defects are necessary for improving performance of these organic devices.However,it is a persistent challenge for integrating nanoscale organic devices with reliable electrode contacts and semiconductor properties.In this talk,I will present our recent progress on developing a new protocol for fabricating organic nanostructure diodes,in which the molecular nanostructures are sandwiched between metal and strained nanomembrane electrodes [1].The application in gas sensor and organic spintronic devices will be demonstrated and discussed.In the second part,I will introduce a new method for fabricating hybrid supedattice structures based on a "rolled-up,compressed and focused-ion-beam cutting" technique.Hybrid systems with smooth mechanically jointed interfaces can be produced by integrating metals,semiconductors,oxides and organic materials [2].
