This contribution reports on an ongoing longitudinal qualitative study conducted with a group of English as Foreign Language (or L3)learners at a public ChaoXianZu high school located in a small town in Heilongjiang,northeast China,to explore how these plurilingual youth engage and invest in multiple representations of languages and identities (Byrd Clark,2009),in a context of ever-changing and increased intraterritorial and transnational mobility.
