"Corpus linguistics is an important area in its own right within applied linguistics" (Beatty 2003:59).Accordingly,the teaching of corpus linguistics can benefit students if it shows them how to apply corpus methods in applied linguistic research.From this viewpoint and within a methodological framework for research in applied linguistics (D(o)rnyei 2007) this paper presents a researchoriented model of teaching corpus linguistics.
