Objective: B-cell activation factor (BAFF) and BAFF-receptor(BAFF-R) play crucial roles in the survival and proliferation of malignant B-cells.Limited information exists on the expression profiles and the prognostic roles of BAFF and BAFF-R indiffusing large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).Methods: Paraffin-embedded specimens from 136 patients with newly diagnosed DLBCL and treated with R plus CHOP chemotherapy were immunohistochemically examined for BAFF and BAFF-R expressions. The correlation of BAFF and BAFF-R expressions with clinicopathologic characteristics and patient outcome was assessed.
