Cancer of prostate is a heterogeneous disease that various factors include age, history of ethics and family,hormones, diet and lack of genetic compounds are effective factors for this disease.CYP1A1 is a member of cytochrome family which is very active in forming the reactive mediators or injurious factors for DNA.The aim of this study is to evaluate the rate of prevalence of genetic polymorphism of rs 1048943 gene CYP 1A 1 in patients with cancer of prostate compare to control group.In this case-control study, the Iranian men with primary adenocarcinoma of prostate were selected as case group and the radical prostatectomy were performed for them after Digital Rectal Exam (DRE), the level of PSA in serum, needle biopsy of prostate and the confirmation of histopathology report.The control group was select among health people without any history of medication consumption, familial background or acquired cancer such as cancer of prostate.This study was performed by compliance of all measures and criteria of ethics committee,and also written consent was obtained from each participant.
