Energy conservation is one of the vital issues of the present,and the reuse of discarded energy is a highly recommended method for saving energy.In this study,a heat pump–boiler integrated system was selected,and mathematical models of the boiler were developed in order to derive an appropriate control algorithm.The static models of the heat exchanger,gas valve,blower,and burner were constructed,and the dynamic models were formulated based on the assumption of a first-order system with a time delay.Moreover,tests were performed in order to check the validity of the proposed mathematical models,and the results demonstrated adequate prediction of the boiler performance.
