OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution of HIV-1 subtypes and the prevalence of HIV-1 drug resistance among HIV infected antiretroviral-naive patients in Jilin Province,Northeastern China.METHODS A total of 57 HIV-1-positive samples were collected from Jilin Provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control between October 2012 and June 2013.(1) HIV-1 Subtyping by Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).DNA samples corresponding to 16105 uncultured peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from HIV-1-positive individuals were retrieved with a DNeasy Blood & Tissue Kit (QIAGEN,CA) according to the manufacturers protocol and subjected to PCR.
