Building up Technology Platforms to Screen for High Quality mAbs against Cell Membrane Proteins

　　Cell membrane proteins, including ion-channels, transporters, GPCRs, and etc, are playing important roles in all aspects of cell physiological functions.They are the primary targets for drug development.Nearly all the FDA approved therapeutic monoclonal antibodies are anti-cell membrane protein antibodies.However, to purify enough amounts of these membrane proteins for monoclonal antibody development is extremely difficult.Therefore, people mostly have to use either synthetic peptides or truncated intracellular domains.Antibodies produced by this approach can only recognize denatured targets, but not native epitopes under native conformation.OriGenes TrueMAB project is committed to generate the highest quality monoclonal antibodies for native epitope recognition by using full length human recombinant proteins produced in HEK293T cells.In this talk, we will present a number of proprietary technology platforms developed in OriGene for membrane protein TrueMAB development.
