Objectives: Previous reports based on knock-out mutant mice revealed that Dlx2 mainly regulated the development of tissues from maxillary arch.In this study, we tried to explore the role of Dlx2 over-expression in the post-natal condyle development in mouse. Methods: A transgenic mouse for specifically over-expressing Dlx2 in cranial neural crest cells (CNCCs) was constructed, and the phenotype of post-natal condyle in this mouse was observed using gross observation, micro CT scan and histological examination.
