Proper hydration is very important for both general population and athletes to maintain their normal physiological functions in their daily life and during exercise.With individual difference,body fluid loss of 1.5-3 liters per day has been commonly observed while 2-3 liters per hour sweat rate is also often reported during exercise in the literature.With a sweat rate over 2-3 liters per hour,athletes can easily lose over 10 liters of body fluid a day.When fluid loss is small,it can be replaced after exercise.
