Manganese is a major impurity which needs to be removed in many hydrometallurgical processes while some waste solutions are also important secondary sources for manganese recovery.Precipitation for the removal and recovery of manganese under practical conditions using a typical nickel laterite solution was investigated, including hydroxide precipitation, carbonate precipitation, oxidative precipitation with air, O2,SO2/air(O2).
