(Pro)renin receptor (PRR) has been considered as a new member of the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) but its predicted role in regulation of renin activity and blood pressure has not been established.Within the kidney,PRR is predominantly expressed in the intercalated cells of collecting duct (CD) where its expression is induced by angiotensin Ⅱ (AngⅡ).
