There are increasing data to show that sonodynamic therapy (SDT) is a promising new modality for cancer treatment.However, few clinical data on SDT has been published in the world.One reason is the difficulty in finding a drug suitable for clinical use.Recently two new sensitizers, SF and UF had been developed by our cooperation with the late Donald Burke MD, USA.Our own animal studies demonstrate that SDT with the sensitizer does inhibit growth of mouse S-180 sarcoma, even when the tumor was covered by a bone.
