Solar-driven hydrogen evolution via water splitting is one of the most promising methods for efficient solar-to-chemical conversion.Although numerous semiconductor materials have been studied since the first demonstration on TiO2,satisfied performance has not yet been obtained due to lack of suitable photoelectrode materials. As one of the earth-abundant materials and efficient sunlight absorbers,CuSbS2 thin film semiconductor is one of the most attractive photocathode materials for photoelectrochemical hydrogen evolution due to its p-type conductivity, suitable band edges for hydrogen evolution, and relatively high stability in electrolyte.
