High performance solid-state supercapacitor based on compressed graphene foam

  We fabricated high performance solid-state supercapacitors based on compressed graphene foam.Graphene sheets made by a simple electrochemical exfoliation method were dispersed in water to form a black ink.The ink filled in a rubber mold was frozen to form slab-shaped ice which was transferred onto a plastic-paper-supported double-wall carbon nanotube(DWCNT)film.After a freeze drying process the graphene foam about 1.5 mm in thickness was formed and further pressed against the DWCNT film.Thus,the compressed graphene film with thickness of 10 μm was tightly attached to the DWCNT film.
