The Knockout Mouse Production and Phenotyping (KOMP2) project is the next phase of theKOMP project designed to generate mouse lines and conduct broad based and high throughput phenotyping on thousands of genes across the mouse genome.To accomplish this task, gene-targeted embryonic stem(ES) cells are converted to germline mice using a variety of techniques, including blastocyst microinjection, 8 cell injection, and morula aggregation.
