We are measuring the physical,chemical,mechanical,and hydrologic property changes in sediments containing methane hydrate,gas,and water subjected to injection of a mixture of carbon dioxide and nitrogen to aid in understanding a field test in Alaska in which a mixture of 77 ％nitrogen and 23 ％carbon dioxide was introduced into a methane hydrate-bearing reservoir,and then gas extracted.
