Sediments were collected from four different depths in the Shenhu Area,North South China Sea.The structural characteristics of organic matter from four different depths of a station in Shenhu have been approached using demineralization method,solid state NMR,FTIR and analytical pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) in the presence and absence of tetramethylammonium hydroxyde (TMAH).
