Brake thermal process analysis is very important for the structure design and life assessment of train brake disc.In this paper, the numerical simulation is conducted for the temperature field and stress field of a speed of 120kin/h urban rail vehicles brake disc.According to the load and boundary conditions during the temperature field analysis, the heat generated by friction of brake lining and brake disc is equivalent to the instantaneous surface heat for building a mobile brake disc cyclic symmetry finite element model, and then ANSYS is used to analyze three-dimensional temperature field distribution of the transient brake disc and thermal cycling process of brake disc surface. The results show that: during braking, the brake disc brake disc heat concentrates in the area between the friction radius and the outer radius. The highest temperature can reach 289.9 ℃ to generate the maximum thermal stress 383 MPa, which can meet the design requirements.
