  This paper is concerned with the equilibrium stability and bifurcation of a recently proposed SD oscillator with dry friction, which is a Filippov system with multiple switching boundaries.The SD (Smooth and Discontinuous) oscillator [1-3] is a recently proposed archetype system with irrational nonlinearity demonstrating the unification and the transition between the smooth and discontinuous dynamics, which behaves smooth properties in α> 0 and discontinuous in aα=0.
