We have developed a series of directed C-H activation and aerobic oxidation reactions to access various heterocycles of medicinal chemistry value.For this purpose, a new directing group, triazene, has been recently invented that not only facilitated rhodium catalyzed ortho-arene C-H functioualization, but also engaged in versatile synthetic manipulations to access various heterocycles in cascade.
