　　Based on the excellent characteristics of chitosan (CS) and methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (mPEG), a series of methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-grafted-chitosan (mPEG-g-CS) were synthesized and utilized in the preparation of mPEG-g-CS nanoparticles in this study.Methotrexate (MTX) was employed as model drug to explore the potential drug delivery characteristics of mPEG-g-CS nanoparticles influenced by the degree of substitution (DS) and length of the mPEG chain.
