  Polymeric nanoparticle coated with intact red blood cell (RBC) membrane has emerged as biomimetic toxin nanosponges that absorb membrane-damaging toxins and divert them away from their cellular targets.Herein, we combined these detoxification nanosponges with hydrogels to form a hybrid material and explored its potential for the treatment of local bacterial infections.
