　　The study is aim to prepare and characterize solid dispersions of poorly water-soluble drug glipizide with the intention to improve the dissolution rates.The solid disperisions were prepared by hot-melt extrusion with water-soluble carrier PVP-VA64 in different drug/carrier proportions which are 1∶3,1∶6 and 1∶9,respectively, and different operation temperatures which are 140 ℃, 160 ℃ and 180 ℃ ,respectively.
