In recent years,gelatin has been widely used in medicine,food and industrial due to its protein and biological materials characteristics [1-2].The studies of nanomaterials in the gelatin medium have attracted more and more scientists’ attention[3-7]too.While the current research only focused on the synthesis of nanoparticles,the thermodynamics of nanoparticles formation in the gelatin medium and interactions with gelatin are rarely reported[8],which are of guiding significance for the synthesis and application of nanomaterials.The thermodynamics of PbS/gelatin micro-nano composites were studied by UV–visible absorption spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The equation was proposed on the basis of the relationship between the absorbance enhancement and the concentration of PbS at 288nm: InA/Aχ-A=lnK+nlncf(pbS)the formation constants K (298/303/308 K: 3.11/2.00/1.60×106 mol/L) of PbS/gelatin composites at three different temperatures were calculated according to double logarithmic liner,Gibbs free energy change (ΔG?),enthalpy change (ΔH?) and entropy change (ΔS?) were calculated too.The result showed the reaction was spontaneous,and enthalpy-driven.The research is important for further exploration and understanding the nature of the interaction of nanoparticles with protein in life sciences.
