Ice Rafted Detritus Records and Paleoclimatic Meaning of Chukchi Borderland,Western Arctic Ocean Chukchi Abyssal Plain is higher than that of Northwind Ridge.The IRD events in Chukchi Plateau and Chukchi Abyssal Plain come from Canadian Arctic Archipelago and may have the contribution of Eurasian side.In MIS 2,the sedimentation rate of Chukchi Plateau and Chukchi Abyssal Plain become much lower.The IRD events of Chukchi Plateau and Chukchi Abyssal Plain come from Eurasia and East Arctic marginal sea,and the IRD events of Northwind Ridge still origin from Canadian Arctic Archipelago.This spatial difference may result from the cover of an ice sheet during full glacial period(Niessen et al.,2013),which prevent the North America sediment input.At the same time,the Northwind Ridge region located in the edge of the ice sheet and wasn't completely covered.During interglacial times,the IRD events of Chukchi Borderland have the contribution of Canadian Arctic Archipelago.
