Extensive bone marrow necrosis (BMN) has been described as a rare complication of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML).The prognoses of the patients with BMN were poor.There is no effective treatment for BMN.A 10-year old boy developed extensive BMN at the period of chronic phase of CML.Bone marrow smear showed equivalent BMN in bilateral iliac which was confirmed by technetium-99m sulphur colloid bone marrow imaging.
