　　Objective: There has been much false impression among nurses on use of physical restraint thus contributing to the persistent practice(Slettebo & Bunch,2004 p.551).The purpose of this review is to appraise evidence for the effectiveness qualitative studies on knowledge and perception of nurses in contributing to use of physical restraint among elderly care.It also aims to determine the factors contributing to barriers of restraintfree care adherence.
