Nanoscale ionic materials (NIMs) are novel organic-inorganic hybrid materials consisting of multi-charged inorganic nanocore that is electrostatically coupled by oppositely charged organic canopy [1].The out-shell canopy is commonly mono-functionalized, thus one canopy molecule can just interact with one oppositely charged point of nanocores.Here, we partially replaced the mono-functionalized canopy with the bi-functionalized ones, and therefore obtained the novel NIMs with 3-D supramolecular ionic network that showed the self-healing behavior under the large-amplitude oscillatory shear (LAOS) flow [2], which was unavailable for the NIMs with mono-functionalized canopy.
