In our study we compared our nanofibrous scaffold made by electrospinning from ε-polycaprolactone with commercially available wound dressing XeDerma(R) in vitro. Our results show that the PCL scaffold support cell adhesion and proliferation better than the reference material XeDerma(R).According to our results we decided to try the healing capability of our scaffold on two patients with badly healing wounds. Our preliminary clinical trials show that the PCL electrospun scaffold is suitable as wound dressing, both patients healed completely without any complications and side effects.
