Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infected 170 million people worldwide.Phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate (PI4P) is the organelle-specific phosphoinositide enriched at sites of HCV replication.Whether retromer,a PI4P related host transport machinery, unloads its cargo at HCV replication sites remains inconclusive. We sought to characterize the role of retromer in HCV replication.
