  Long-term Plasticity is an important hypothesis for learning and memory.As disclosed from many experimental data,an activation of NMDA receptors is required for long-term potentiation (LTP) and long-term depression (LTD).It is also evidenced from recent studies that NMDA receptors can be found both at synaptic-and extrasynaptic areas,and their activations have different influences upon Gene expression,apoptosis or formation of synaptic plasticity.The outcome as studied by Dr.Hilmar Bading has revealed that activated extrasynaptic NMDA receptors likely lead to endocytosis of AMPA-type Glutamate receptors,and proceed likely to cause an induction of LTD.However,the said viewpoint has not been sufficiently proved all the time due to difficulties in respective activation or inhibition of synaptic-and extrasynaptic NMDA receptors.To elucidate how synaptic and extrasynaptic NMDA receptors regulate synaptic plasticity,we have developed a novel method to solve such problem,viz.
