The Formation of the Multi Submicron Grooves Structure on Fiber Surface and its Water Transportation

　　Multi Submicron Grooves Structure Fiber (MSGSF) was designed and made by using conjugated spinning technology.The submicron scale striated grooves of MSGSF were constituted from removing Easy Soluble Polyester (ESPET) by using an alkali treatment process.In this study, 60 submicron widths of striated grooves were formed by dissolving the component of ESPET of the conjugated fiber in sodium hydroxide solution.MSGSF has shown that its characteristics allow for better water/moisture diffusion rate and water/moisture absorption in comparison to regular round shaped fibers.
