An Army Aviation Unit flew more than 2000 sorties to provide earthquake relief and complete splendidly various duties after the severe earthquake in Wenchuan.The characteristic of earthquake relief mission was as follows:① The mission was variational and urgent.② The disaster area was broad and the circumstance of field jump area was unfamilar to pilot.③ The climate of the mountain area was complex.④ The aircrew had both heavy physical load and mental load.⑤ The demand of medical protect of aircrew was higher than usual.
