As a multiple strategy of reproduction, dimorphic cleistogamous species produce both closed (cleistogamous, CL) and open (chasmogamous, CH) flowers on the same or different individuals.Pseudostellaria heterophylla Pax consists of populations producing both CH and CL flowers on the same plants, which is found in the temperate forests of eastern China.In this study, floral syndrum and seed production by CH and CL flowers were investigated in populations of P.heterophylla, and the amount and distribution of genetic variation at random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) levels were investigated.
